Hugh Nigel Kennedy, FRSE FBA (d. 22 Ekim 1947) bir İngiliz ortaçağ tarihçisi ve akademisyenidir. Erken İslami Orta Doğu, Müslüman İberya ve Haçlı Seferleri tarihinde uzmanlaşmıştır. 1997'den 2007'ye kadar St Andrews Üniversitesi'nde Ortadoğu Tarihi Profesörüydü . 2007'den beri Londra Üniversitesi SOAS'ta Arapça Profesörü olarak görev yapmaktadır.

2000 yılında Kennedy, Royal Society of Edinburgh'a (FRSE) Üye seçildi.^[1][2] Temmuz 2012'de British Academy Üyesi (FBA) seçildi.^[3][4] Aynı zamanda Royal Asiatic Society (FRAS) üyesidir.^[1]
