The Saint Takes Over

 

The Saint Takes Over (sh. Svetac preuzima) je američki crno-bijeli kriminalistički film snimljen 1940. godine u režiji Jacka Hivelya. Predstavlja peti po redu film iz RKO-ve serije filmova o džentlmenu lopovu Simonu Templaru alias Svecu. Naslovni lik ponovno tumači George Sanders, a radnja prikazuje kako svog dugogodišnjeg suparnika, policijskog inspektora Fernacka (koga tumači Jonathan Hale) nastoji spasiti od lažnih optužbi da je primao mito od bande koja namješta konjske utrke. U filmu Svečevu partnericu ponovno tumači Wendy Barrie, iako je riječ o liku drukčijem od onog u The Saint Strikes Back, odnosno sljedećem filmu The Saint in Palm Springs.
