Ragnall ua Ímair

Ragnall (staroirski: Ragnall ua Ímair, staronordijski: Rögnvaldr) (? - 920 ili 921) bio je nordijski vladar ili hegemon sjevera Britanije, uključujući Northumbriju, cijelu obalu Irskog mora uključujući Otok Man, područje Irske južno od Waterforda i, nakratko cijelu južnu pokrajinu Munster, prije nego što je došao u Britaniju vladati područjem Yorka, koje je tada postalo zasebna cjelina u odnosu na Northumbriju. Prema većini modernih učenjaka, na vrhuncu moći je bio najmoćniji nordijski vladar u dotadašnjoj historiji Britanskih Otoka. Ragnall je bio jedan od unuka Ímar, odnosno pripadnik dinastije poznate kao Uí Ímair ili Kuća Ivar, zajedno sa rođacima i suvremenicima poznatim kao Sihtric Cáech i Gofraid. Neko vrijeme se smatralo da su Ragnall koji je vladao Irski morem i Ragnald koji je vladao sjevernom Britanijom različite ličnosti, ali su suvremena istraživanja otklonila te sumnje.[1] Smatra se i kako je mogao vladati teritorijama zapadne i sjeverne Škotske uključujući Hebride i Sjeverne Otoke, ali izvori iz njegovog vremena o tome šute.[2]
