David Ackroyd

David Ackroyd (Orange, 30 de maio de 1940) é um ator norte-americano, que participou de varias séries como Xena: Warrior Princess e The Dark Secret of Harvest Home.

Biografia

Vida Pessoal

Os pais de David se chamam Arthur e Charlotte. Estudou na Universidade Bucknell, onde se formou em 1962. Após se formar, atuou em peças teatrais enquanto servia o exército no Arizona. Em seguida concentrou-se na arte, estudando na escola de Arte Yale, graduando-se em 1968. Em 1963, casou-se com Ruth Liming, com quem teve duas filhas: Abigail e Jessica. Atualmente, Ackroyd mora na cidade de Montana, onde dá aulas de teatro.

Teatro

David começou um precoce trabalho no teatro Yale Repertory, por 3 temporadas, e no festival de teatro Williamstown, por 6 temporadas. Além dos EUA, Ackroyd também atuou em Taiwan, Rússia, Polônia, Alemanha, França e República Checa.

TV e Cinema

Começou sua carreira na TV nos anos 50, com trabalhos em The Secret Storm e Another World. desde então está em um grande número de trabalhos, creditado em séries como Xena: Warrior Princess, Dallas, Knots Landing, The Dark Secret of Harvest Home e The Word; e também em filmes como And I Alone Survived.
