Sleeping with the Past er det 22. studioalbumet av britiske sangeren Elton John, utgitt i 1989. Det er hans bestselgende album i Danmark, og det er dedikert til hans mangeårige låtskriverpartner Bernie Taupin. Dette albumet inneholdt «Sacrifice», hans første solo førsteplass-singel i hjemlandet Storbritannia. Det ble også hans første platina-album i Storbritannia siden Too Low for Zero.
