Lord Lyon King of Arms

Lord Lyon King of Arms er statsheraldiker og den lavest rangerte riksembedsmann i Skottland. Han er den offisielle faginstans med ansvar for å regulere heraldikken i Skottland. Han er dommer for Lyon Court, den eldste heraldiske domstol som fortsatt er i funksjon. Lord Lyon King of Arms tildeler nye våpenskjold til personer eller organisasjoner, og bekrefter krav på eksisterende våpenskjold ut ifra stamtavler. Han er også ansvarlig for skotske offisielle statsseremonier.
