Edwin Stanton Porter (født 21. april 1870, død 30. april 1941) var en amerikansk filmpioner, mest kjent som filmprodusent, filminstruktør, studieleder og filmfotograf ved Edison Manufactoring Company og Players Film Company.^[5] Fra de siste par år på 1800-tallet stod han bak over 250 filmer med blant annet den to minutter lange The Artist's Dilemma (1901) fulgt av filmer som Jack and the Beanstalk (1902), Det store togrøveriet (1903) og Fangen paa Zenda (1913).
