Edgar Lee Masters (Garnett, Kansas, 1868ko abuztuaren 23a - Melrose Park, Pennsylvania, 1950eko martxoaren 5a) estatubatuar idazlea izan zen. Hamabi antzezlan, hogeita bat poesia-liburu, sei biografia eta sei eleberri idatzi zituen.

1880an bere familiarekin Lewistonera joan zen bizitzera, Illinoisen. Lewistongo kulturak, Oak Hilleko hilerriak eta Spoon ibaiak inspiratu zituzten bere lan gehienak, Spoon River Anthology barne, bere lanik ospetsuena.

1893tik aurrera Chicagon lan egin zuen abokatu gisa. Pobrezian hil zen 81 urterekin.
