Lydell Maurice Carr[1] (born May 27, 1965)[2] is a former American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) who played for the Phoenix Cardinals. He was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 1988 NFL draft.[3] He played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners.[4][5][6] He also played in the World League of American Football (WLAF) for the Barcelona Dragons and Ohio Glory. Carr was born and grew up in Enid, Oklahoma.[2] He played football for Enid High School, graduating in 1984.[1] Enid is scheduled to name a street Lydell Carr Drive to honor him in 2024.[7]
