James P. Hogan (21 de setembre de 1890 — 4 de novembre de 1943) va ser un director i guionista cinematogràfic de nacionalitat estatunidenca.[1]
Nascut en Lowell, Massachusetts, el seu nom complet era James Patrick Hogan. Entre els seus films més destacats figuren Buldog Drummond's Secret Police (1939) i The Mad Ghoul (1943), l'última producció rodada per ell.[2]
Va morir el 1943 a North Hollywood, Los Angeles, Califòrnia, a causa d'un infart agut de miocardi, als 53 anys d'edat.
